A New Clientele
Gay marriage is legal now? After a long decade of hatred towards same sex marriage, it is now legally through all states across America. Within the next few months, the population of same-sex marriage will be booming. It is predicted that by 2020 almost all the states will be 48% for gay marriage. Now that same sex couples can get married, what are coordinators going to think when they have their first same sex couple? Having weddings between two people of the same gender could be fairly easier than for heterosexual couples. Two women are most likely to have more of the same interests than a man and a woman and same for two men. What are your thoughts on planning a wedding for same sex couples? Will it be easier or harder? Will it be accepted by all of the guests? The future of wedding planning now has a new clientele which has changed the course of history!
Bridal Shower Games
Pep up your bridal shower with these fun games.
Bingo:
Instead of bingo, replace the word Bingo with Bride. On each sheet for each guest, design it so the boxes are related to you and your husband. Examples can include: locations, best man, maid of honor, bridesmaids and groomsmen, wedding colors and significant dates.
Writing a story:
At the shower, have a long sheet of paper. Each guest writes a line to make a story of the bride and groom. When writing a new line in the story, only the previous line the person before you wrote should be showing.
Who Said What?
Ask the bride and groom a bunch of questions a couple of days beforehand. Type up the questions and the answers and print out sheets for all the guests. Then have them label who said what answer.
Mad Libs
Write a story or vows for the bride and groom and leave out nouns, adjectives, verbs and verbs. Print out a copy for each guest to complete and leave it for the bride to read when she gets home!
Groomsmen Gifts
Tired of seeing ideas for only brides? Well here’s one! Instead of giving your men wallets or money clips that collect dust along with the rest they have sitting at home, make them a fun shirt for the Bachelor party to say thank you! Men don’t care about what they get, so just make it fun! For your last night out as an unmarried man, give your groomsmen shirts with your event that are very masculine! Shirts are a great purchase because they can be used more than once and they are a wonderful memory keepsake! Every time the men put the shirt on they will remember the exciting time they had with you! Again, don’t thank them by items that sit on their dresser or never use because ultimately they are a big waste of money you don’t have to spend! So get creative, get fun, and make use of your money.
#Hashtags
Trying to track down those cute pictures you took can be a lot of work. Remembering who took what picture on what phone and who posted what is a hassle. Eliminating these worries can be at the touch of your phone! Gathering all the pictures that were taking at an event and posted on the internet can be tracked by a simple thing such as a hashtag. Make a sign at your event that says #youreventname so that all your guests can upload all the photographs and you can see them! After the event, just search in each media your hashtag and your pictures will appear! This is a modern way that people post things to media now-a-days. Even though not all the pictures may include you, you can see all your guests and what was going on throughout the night that you didn’t catch!
Favors for Charity
Stuck on what to do for a party favor? Make a voting ballot with a list of charities and place them on the guests plate. Along side, put a pencil next to them and have them vote for a charity in which they would like money to be donated. At the end of the event, collect all the ballots and determine where you will give your money to! Collectively with your party hosts, determine how much you are going to give per person! This is a great and easy way to raise money for a great cause. Popular organizations could include Make a Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society and JDRF. Maybe someone at the event has a certain disease, you can also have money go to that foundation for finding a cure. This is a selfless gesture and will warm the hearts of all your guests! By doing this, you will be putting your money to something meaningful instead of a small gift no one will notice.
