Bridal 101

When planning your wedding, there are some important things a bride should know! Before meeting with your event coordinator, you need to know certain things. Know how many people will be attending the event. This is important when it comes to deciding what room you will be in. Also, know your colors. Your planning will go a lot easier once you have a basic idea of what you want your reception to look like. Know your vendors. Have a DJ, photographer and florist? Provide your coordinator with their numbers. This is important when it comes to the day of the event. You don’t want your DJ not showing up! Leave that up to the coordinator to make sure everyone is there and things are running smoothly. Another important thing is to make sure you have a picture of your cake or centerpieces. If you want something a certain way, you need to communicate that with the coordinator along with pictures to ensure you get the most out of your big day! Also, label your boxes. When you bring in your candles, cake cutter, centerpieces, and party favors, make sure you label your bags and boxes. That way, when you come to pick things up the next day, everything will be placed where they came from. They will be easier to track and it will be easier on the coordinator. Eliminating stress in these areas is important in the long run!blog

Favors for Charity

Stuck on what to do for a party favor? Make a voting ballot with a list of charities and place them on the guests plate. Along side, put a pencil next to them and have them vote for a charity in which they would like money to be donated. At the end of the event, collect all the ballots and determine where you will give your money to! Collectively with your party hosts, determine how much you are going to give per person! This is a great and easy way to raise money for a great cause. Popular organizations could include Make a Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society and JDRF. Maybe someone at the event has a certain disease, you can also have money go to that foundation for finding a cure. This is a selfless gesture and will warm the hearts of all your guests! By doing this, you will be putting your money to something meaningful instead of a small gift no one will notice.

Reuse or Sell

A great way to get rid of all your wedding decors is to sell it back online, or purchase used materials that are in great shape! Recycle Your Wedding is a great website to find all of these goods. You can sell your unused items from your event, or you can buy decor that is sold for cheap from other brides. Some of the things that are available have not been used yet. Many people buy things that they end up not needing in end, so they sell them for cheaper. This is a great way to save money and add party favors or any décor that you are missing.
