#Hashtags

Trying to track down those cute pictures you took can be a lot of work. Remembering who took what picture on what phone and who posted what is a hassle. Eliminating these worries can be at the touch of your phone! Gathering all the pictures that were taking at an event and posted on the internet can be tracked by a simple thing such as a hashtag. Make a sign at your event that says #youreventname so that all your guests can upload all the photographs and you can see them! After the event, just search in each media your hashtag and your pictures will appear! This is a modern way that people post things to media now-a-days. Even though not all the pictures may include you, you can see all your guests and what was going on throughout the night that you didn’t catch!

Favors for Charity

Stuck on what to do for a party favor? Make a voting ballot with a list of charities and place them on the guests plate. Along side, put a pencil next to them and have them vote for a charity in which they would like money to be donated. At the end of the event, collect all the ballots and determine where you will give your money to! Collectively with your party hosts, determine how much you are going to give per person! This is a great and easy way to raise money for a great cause. Popular organizations could include Make a Wish Foundation, American Cancer Society and JDRF. Maybe someone at the event has a certain disease, you can also have money go to that foundation for finding a cure. This is a selfless gesture and will warm the hearts of all your guests! By doing this, you will be putting your money to something meaningful instead of a small gift no one will notice.

Do it Yourself!

Need a cheap and easy way to tell your bridesmaids how much they mean? Here’s a fun and always useful idea. Put together a little thank you favor in honor of the girls that mean the most to you on your most important day. Throw together a couple of bags filled these emergency tools: Chocolate, pack of tissues, lip gloss, nail file, lifesavers, Aleve or Tums, Band-aid and some flip-flops for a personal note! Written on a little note card placed in the bag include this poem!

This Survival Kit was made just to say

I’m thrilled you’re beside me on my wedding day!

There’s chocolate to give you that sugar high

And a packet of tissues in case you should cry.

Lip gloss to help you care for your smile.

If a nail should break, I’ve included a file.

There is Shout if you should spill on your dress

and lifesavers to keep your breath minty fresh.

There’s Aleve and Tums if it’s ill that you feel

and Band-aids to help you tackle high heels.

I’ve put everything in this handy pack

so you’ll know that this bride has got your back!

This kit was created so that you can see

how much you mean to the bride-to-be!

Little Ways to Save Money

When going to a venue to decide where your wedding or special event should be hosted, consider what your package includes. Before putting down your payments, consider the following questions: Are you already paying for linens? Do you like the cake? Are you finding yourself looking at outside resources for things you want to change about the venue you are about to use? A helpful hint is to use all of the things they provide that you’re already paying for, then add your accented touches to your event for a cheap price.

An example of saving money on things you don’t like that the venue provides in packages, is bringing in simple things of your own.

Here is an example of personalizing your wedding cake. Here at Bobak’s Signature Events, we provide a pastry chef to design your wedding cake. This bride brought in fabric of her own to add to the cake. This way, the cake matched the theme with items that the chef does not provide. Instead of going to a different pastry chef outside of the venue, you can save money by bringing in your own touches.

Another thing to remember: Making your cake too fancy will eventually result in you not eating it at all. Too much drapery or fondant will make the cake inedible. Keep your cake simple and classy.

On Your Marks, Get Set, Say I Do

Love to run? Need a fun wedding theme that suites your hobby? Make your wedding fun and add little touches that make it more personalized for you and your spouse.

One way to add simple things to your big day that make it personalized is to use bib numbers for table numbers. Instead of your traditional 1, 2, 3, 4 etc. numbers, throw in fake bib numbers with your personalized wedding date on the bottom along with a giant number.

Do you enjoy going on runs or working out together? Make a signature drink that includes a fruity Gatorade and Shnapps  and name it after you both. It’s a fun way to incorporate what keeps you going.
